The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed Denver Broncos tackle Ryan Harris. The contract is 2 years worth $3.9 million, according to the Denver Post.
Pittsburgh had been actively involved in the left tackle market since the weekend, pursuing options of resigning Kelvin Beachum and offering a two year deal worth $4 million per season to Russell Okung.

So to recap, we now have no depth on the D-line, or ILB and the secondary is a disgrace in a passing league. I’m glad they value defense so highly. I guess they believe offense win championships, to bad it’s the other way around.
Need a NT now.
Is it just me or were the offers to Beacham and Okung a little insulting? 4M/year barely puts them among the top 25 LT in salary and I think both could make a strong case for being among the top 25 LTs.
Beachum is coming off a torn ACL, and Okung had his share of question marks. Don’t blame them that much.
And they couldn’t afford more – that’s the advantage of being a good team – here’s what we can afford – if you want to win, we can pay you this – if not, we’ll find someone else. Cleveland offering that much would be insulting – especially on the back end of losing the FAs that they lost. Here – it’s just a financial reality.
Harris isn’t that good. Last year was probably his best. Not sure how good I feel about Adams, Harris and Villanueva battling it out for LT. I hope they keep after Okung.
Depth tackle, you mean probably starting
Villanueva still gets the nod here unless Munchak’s coaching makes Harris a lot better than he was last year.

Well, this deal doesn’t exactly end the pursuit of Okung or Beachum, but how about some options to improve the god awful secondary? I get letting Blake walk, but they could probably bring in players to help too.
No but Beacham signing with Jacksonville sure puts a dent in it.
