The Steelers signed running back Jordan Todman, who was released by the Carolina Panthers, the team announced today.
Todman was originally drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 6th round (183rd overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft, where he spent time on the practice squad. Todman has also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings (2012) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2012-14). During his tenure in the NFL, Todman has tallied 450 rushing yards on 111 carries.
To make room for Todman on the team’s active roster, the Steelers have released cornerback Doran Grant, a 4th round pick in the 2015 draft.
Additionally, the Steelers have also claimed defensive end Caushaud Lyons from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To make room on the roster, the Steelers waived linebacker Anthony Chickillo.

White men just can’t find jobs in America anymore… Smh
Every D back taken in this years draft (which was well know to be the major position of need) is gone. Golson is hurt, but who knows how he would have faired if not hurt. Absolutely pathetic! Hard evidence that the Front Office could not give less of a damn about the defense or at least the secondary. Fitting how their now left scrambling for anyone who will trade them a back up for a draft pick. How does this NOT get Colbert fired? How in the world does anyone trust anybody in that war room to pick defense. Had… Read more »
2014 AFC North Division Champions.
How does a player go from making the 53 to cut and NOT placed on the practice swuad? Both Grant and Chickillo were good enough to make the initial roster, wouldn’t you think they would want to place then in the practice swuad? They are both certainly eligible.
Another bust Steelets draft.
God. Mike tomlin is just the absolute worst. Can we get a solid football mind / talent evaluator so we can get back to being credible again?
Division championship is 2014 not “credible” enough? Dummy.
Not one and done against joe flacco
Montee Ball cut. Remember when he should’ve been picked instead of Bell?
What?!? All indications were he was doing well. I hope he becomes a really good player and sticks it to the organization. Stupid move.
Im sure your opinion is based off solid observations
This draft class is off to a hell of a start…
