The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a three year deal with San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Arnaz Battle. The deal was first reported by the Sacramento Bee.
Battle, 30, had 5 receptions for 40 yards in 2009. Battle has caught 178 passes for 2,150 yards and 11 touchdowns in seven NFL seasons.
The Steelers are believed to have valued Battle highly because of his ability on special teams. Battle will be reunited with special teams coach Al Everest.
Meanwhile,the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that the Steelers have reached an agreement with Buffalo Bills tackle Jon Scott (6-foot-6, 318), an unrestricted free agent who started eight games for the Bills in 2009.
