The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded for quarterback Byron Leftwich, the team announced this evening. The Steelers will send a 7th round pick to Tampa Bay in-exchange for Leftwich.
The team expressed interest in Leftwich prior to re-signing Charlie Batch last month. The team now has four quarterbacks on their roster as trade speculation continues to surround franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Leftwich is due to make $2 million in 2010.
