Former hard throwing pitcher Stetson Allie (.667 – 0 HR – 1 RBI) made his debut as a hitter today in the Rookie Gulf Coast League and made an impact going 2-3 with a triple, RBI, 2 runs scored and a walk in the GCL Pirates 13-3 win over the GCL Blue Jays.
In his first at-bat, Allie tripled to center, scoring Jin-De Jhang, walked in his second at-bat, and singled to left field on a line drive with his second hit of the game in the bottom of the 4th inning. Allie grounded out to short in the seventh inning, his final at-bat.
Allie started at third base and had an error in the first inning.
