Satan eyes a return Long Island
*Miroslav Satan is pushing for a return to Long Island. He enjoys the area and his agent has approached the Islanders about a possible return.
The Islanders have also held talks with Alex Tanguay and Petr Sykora but both players are out of their price range.
*It has been reported that the Flyers are interested in Satan. Sources tell me they have no interest.
NHL pushing for the Coyotes to make the playoffs
*Despite the NHL still funding the Phoenix Coyotes, the Coyotes remain the active in free agent.
It is believed the NHL is pushing for the Coyotes to make the playoffs which is why were seeing the Coyotes increase their payroll and make good personnel moves.
The Coyotes are a finalist with the Tampa Bay Lightning for Alex Tanguay.
Sykora in a holding pattern?
*Ryan Malone continues to push hard for the Lightning to sign Petr Sykora. Sykora is in a bit of a holding pattern as the Lightning are waiting on Alex Tanguay to make a decision first, before moving forward in a deal with Sykora.
Sykora is also exploring other options and has held discussions with two Atlantic Division rivals of the Penguins.

*Pittsburgh Native Dylan Reese (Upper St. Clair, PA) has the option of returning to the Phoenix Coyotes organization but is also considering three other options.
* Due to financial reasons, Greg Sherman the General Manager for the Colorado Avalanche has not been given the “OK” to make an offer sheet to Phil Kessel or pursue a trade to this point for the 21 year old winger.
* The Blackhawks expect Marian Hossa to return to the lineup in early December. The organization claims the surgery went well.
