The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Washington Capitals 6-3 Wednesday night and also lost Sidney Crosby, Rob Scuderi and Max Talbot to Injuries during the course of the game. Scuderi was hit with in the forehead with a puck during the first period on a penalty kill. He did not return. Forward Max Talbot suffered what is believed to be an upper body injury. Talbot left the ice early in the third period and did not return.
Center Sidney Crosby suffered a leg injury late in the third period. Crosby took a couple of awkward falls during the game and seemed to favoring his left leg. Crosby had two assists on the night and was the games #3 star. The Penguins practice tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.

Gonchar to practice with team for first time since surgery: Defenseman Sergei Gonchar has been cleared to practice with the Penguins tomorrow afternoon. Sources tell Inside Pittsburgh Sports, Gonchar is two-three weeks ahead of schedule.
Florida Panthers GM Jacques Martin was in attendance scouting tonight’s game. The Lightning also had an representative in the building. A report from TSN.Ca claimed the Penguins might have interest in bringing back Bolts forward Adam Hall. Inside Pittsburgh Sports can confirm the Penguins have had brief discussions about pursuing Marty St. Louis but there hasn’t been any significant talks to this point between the two teams.
