NHL Trade Deadline NHL TRADE DEADLINE BUZZ
The Penguins have made their impact moves with the additions of Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow and Douglas Murray but GM Ray Shero and  his staff are still looking to make “one more addition” a team source eluded to this morning.

All of the chatter for a few days now has been on a depth forward to bolster the fourth line with a fourth line center viewed as a need for the Penguins. The Penguins have looked into Tampa Bay’s Tom Pyatt and scouts peg Boyd Gordon as an ideal fit but the price could be high. Some buy-low center candidates out there are Buffalo’s Jochen Hecht and Adam Hall was placed on waivers yesterday.
On the wings, two depth forwards garnering serious interest around the league  is Coyotes winger Raffi Torres and Stars winger Eric Nystrom.
Torres has as many as six teams chasing him, a league source said. The Penguins looked into Torres during the 2011 trade deadline but it doesn’t sound like they are in on him. Nystrom was a player Penguin scouts were tracking earlier in the year.
As for Penguin roster players, Dustin Jeffrey is a name floating around and there’s no chatter around the league regarding Tyler Kennedy who the coaching staff has made it known that they want to keep.
The Penguins have been getting calls on Robert Bortuzzo but the sense is Pittsburgh doesn’t want to move him.
The Penguins have 48 contracts that count against the max 50-man limit.
SOME THINGS TO WATCH AROUND THE LEAGUE
*A lot of eyes are in Toronto on whether they step up and make a deal for Calgary’s Miikka Kiprusoff or Vancouver’s Roberto Luongo. Kiprusoff is a head scratcher to a lot of people around the league who feel he’s finished as an elite goaltender.
*The New York Islanders sit 8th in the Eastern Conference and don’t plan to move Mark Streit.
*The Boston Bruins are not done and are looking to add a top-4 defenseman. Ron Hainsey is a player they really like.
*The Washington Capitals are looking to add as the sense is they are the favorites to win the Southeast division. Many around the league expect Mike Ribero to stand pat.
*The buzz in New York is that the Rangers brass still feel they have the makings of turning things on down the stretch. They are actively seeking a right handed defenseman.
*Keith Yandle and Dan Boyle two notable defensemen with term on their contract are expected to stay put but both players are in play for the right price and of the two, Yandle has the greater chance of being traded today.
*Aaron Portzline of the Columbus-Dispatch reports the Blue Jackets are willing to move a first round pick for a forward with term on their contract. Drew Stafford and Jason Pominville are two potential targets. Buffalo is actively looking to move Stafford and Pominville is in play.
