The Canucks have been seeking a lofty price of a second-round pick for Schenn or a third-round pick+ another asset for Schenn. They’ve also discussed packaged deals for Schenn and Brock Boeser with a few clubs as the two share the same agent.
Schenn, 33, has 3 goals and 18 assists on the season and carries an $850,000 cap hit.

Trade off Blueger, McGinn, Zucker who’s on expiring contract, see if they can offload the Kapanen contract an Hopefully Hextall doesn’t hand a contract to Jarry at 6 million a season maybe move him for a second round pick. Can’t say I disagree but we are one point out of the playoffs with 3 or 4 games in hand. Just a couple small smart moves (by lazy ass Hextall /Burke) like a third line center and one dman…a Kulikov or Gavrikov would help…look if they get in they will have Boston or Carolina who we have played tough all one goal games…they will have nothing to lose a Max Domi only 27 has 16 goals, gritty, great one timer, god skater. Luke Schenn is exactly what this pussified team is in need of toughness and defensive responsibility.. Move out Jeff Petry for a high pick and clear some salary or get parts we need back for him. Imagine a second pair of Schenn and maybe Kukikov from Anaheim. No one will be gooning Crosby and Malkin (which is what the Rangers did) anymore Schenn goes after them. Schenn is not a good pickup, now if it’s for Boeser I would bite, seen some other reports that they are interested in Jeff petry which would be a win for us. I would give them Petry an mid round pick for Boeser the Cap hit is relatively the same. An Petry hasn’t had a Terrible season I believe he’s got 19 points in 39 games.. we will see I would like to see Hextall make some moves regardless.

Look at Schenns War percentile timeline from 2018 to 2023, it’s terrible an Ruhwedel is Better in all Categories ALLLLLLLL LMAO. If u want a Goon for defense add it to the 4th line or rotational piece, Schenns overall defense an offense are garbage, only thing he does is stick up for guys an that’s on a good night. Getting Schenn will accomplish “everything”? The guy is an aging plug that won’t move the needle. The team needs more scoring, better goaltending and, a complete retool of their bottom 6. And you’re out of your mind off you think he’ll deter anyone. If Ryan Reaves didn’t (he didn’t), Schenn definitely won’t. And if he’s your best defenseman, hopefully you’re an AHL team. There’s a reason he makes vet minimum.

Aging he is light years better than DuMoulin and he is only 33..Dumoulin is 31 and has the foot speed of the statue of liberty..
we need grit, toughness, character, and accountability and we have pretty much 0 of that on defense and on the whole team really..
