Reports out of slovakia have reported that Ziggy Palffy is training in his hometown and is contemplating a return to the NHL. Palffy is not elgible to return to the NHL until February. The Penguins still own his rights and it will be interested to see if they would think about bringing him back or trading his rights. Quote from Ziggy talking about a possible return per (www.cassovia.sk) “Regarding my official return on the ice, everything is open at this moment. I started practicing recently, though my official return could happen only after February when the 1-year period I am mandated to stay away from competitive hockey expires. You’ll just have to wait and see”. It was first reported from the same newspaper in August that Ziggy is comteplating a return so time will tell how this plays out.

Updated: Evgeni Malkin will make his debut this Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils. The lines have not been set yet but it is believed that he will center Jordan Staal and Nik Ekman.

Dan Kreider update
Kreiders injury is believed to not as serious as first thought. Cowher has described it as a lateral injury. If Kreider is out for a significant time it will be a major blow to running game. Expect Veron Haynes to fill the role of Kreider if he is out this week. On the goaline situation in the third quarter Haynes was the primary blocker and it was a position he played in college.

Blackandgoldinsider.com is reporting that it appears elite Wide Reciever Tony Clemons is expected to sign a letter of intent to attend Michigan University. Clemons is ranked in the top 5 by scouting services for Wide Recievers out of the state of Pennslyvania.
