For all of the buzz of Nate Scheelhaase, LA Rams Passing Game Coordinator, and Rams Defensive Coordinator Chris Shula, and the Steelers are intrigued about both, the individual who had a Mike Tomlin type 2007 initial interview is Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver who is scheduled to interview in person on Friday. Weaver had an outstanding interview and really made a mark on the Steelers to get an in person look where they planned to explore his candidacy more thoroughly.
And everything sets up for a fascinating week with 62 year old Mike McCarthy interviewing in-person today. This is not a favor interview for the Super Bowl winning coach. McCarthy, a Pittsburgh native, has a legitimate chance to move into the front runner’s spot this week. GM Omar Khar is driving the bus and there is a ton of intrigue that McCarthy can keep the Steelers competitive for the present and transition into future. [/hide]
