  • Thanks to Ben Roethlisberger making an effort to keep Antonio Brown’s streak alive, Brown extended his streak of 5 catches, 50+ yards to 21 games after hauling in 5 receptions for 84 yards in the Steelers 17-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. How Brown got his 5th catch was controversial. With the Steelers in position to just run the clock out, Roethlisberger lobbied the coaching staff to throw a quick pass to Brown to extend the streak. The result was a 16 yard short pass. “I’m not always a fan of doing things like that, because I know that bad things can happen, but a guy like that deserves it,” Roethlisberger said of Brown. “He deserves to get the ball to keep the record going because of the work and dedication he brings to this team, to the game and the organization. I’m just glad that the coaches were OK with it and he got it.”
