Goaltender Curtis Sanford has signed with the Montreal Canadiens according to Blues Insider Andy Strickland.
The deal is reportedly a 1 yr deal worth $600,000 or $105,000 in the AHL.
Pittsburgh made very similar offer during the second week of free agency as the team eyed Sanford to come in and compete with John Curry in training camp.
Pittsburgh has been engaged in talks with goaltender

Kevin Weekes for several weeks. The two sides continue to touch base as Weekes is looking for a one way contract.
Weekes is very close friends with Matt Cooke and is represented by Allan Walsh who has a close working relationship with Ray Shero.
With Sanford out of the fold, Pittsburgh will also move on other targets.
