Washington leads series, 2-0
Defenseman Kris Letang participated in the Penguins morning skate and will be a game time decision tonight.
Defenseman Philippe Boucher took reps with the
1st power play unit and split reps evenly with Kris Letang as the two alternated in drills with Mark Eaton.
Head coach Dan Bylsma has not been shy about wanting to get Philippe Boucher in the lineup and it will not come as any surprise if Bylsma goes with Boucher to give Letang the night off.
For the Capitals, forward Michael Nylander will see his first action of the series. Nylander will replace Eric Fehr in the lineup as Fehr did not participate in the Capitals morning skate.
Nylander will start the game on the 4th line playing right wing with Chris Clark and Boyd Gordon.
*Forward Miroslav Satan will likely be an healthy scratch for the third consecutive game. Petr Sykora took all of the reps with the second line in today’s morning skate and it appears Bylsma will stick with Sykora for atleast one more game.
We will see Satan in the lineup at sometime in the series.
If the Penguins struggle out of the gate, one thing to watch for is Bylsma breaking up the Penguins third line to mix things up on the top two lines.
