Gerrit Cole strikes out 10 in dominant outing vs the Mets

Gerrit Cole (6-2, 2.05 ERA) went 8 1/3 innings vs the New York Mets and was dominant in picking up his sixth win of the season, leading the Pirates to a 4-1 victory over the Mets. Cole struck out 10 and walked 1 in allowing 6 hits and 1 run (0 Earned) as he breezed through the Mets lineup for most of the night. Cole threw 111 pitches, 74 for strikes. Cole’s 10 strikeouts were a season high.
Cole is 6-2 on the season with a 2.05 ERA and has a 63/14 K/BB ratio.
