Day 2 Draft Buzz
Plain and simple Marc Andre Fleury is starting the season in Pittsburgh. The Penguins netminder was informed as much late this morning, Inside Pittsburgh Sports has learned.
Despite what the Penguins say publicly, sources say every avenue was explored to see if a deal was out there to satisfy the player and team.
While Fleury has not demanded a trade, To read this insider news, subscribe to get “Inside Access”!
Sam injured yet?
I’m so confused. If st bleury is a 1st ballot hall of famer, why doesn’t anyone want to trade for him? Hahahahah
The first sentence is probably the smartest thing you’ve ever said. You’re so confused. And I lovvvvvveeeeeee it!
Has anyone heard anything on Justin Schultz? Have they negotiated a two year deal or something with him since they aren’t qualifying him? Is Lovejoy seriously priority over Schultz?
Qualifying offers for RFAs aren’t even due until 5pm tomorrow. And they’re likely losing both of them.
Radulov signs in russia after failing to find NHL deal. Glad no team wanted that cancer in their team. Any droolers here?
Couldn’t have been worse that that Toews contract. What a fraud.
Sam’s lack of understanding just never disappoints, the fact that no teams were willing meet to his contract demands doesn’t mean not team wanted him, it’s really no different than they Fleury situation, Radulov wanted a certain deal to sign and no team was willing to pay that much just as the Pens wanted a 1st round pick(and possibly a square pick too) and no team was willing to pay that much. Using your rational you are agreeing with Yoda that no team in the NHL wants Fleury.
And yes at the right price I would take Radulov in a second.
Ray bourque arrested on drunk driving
Stupid fucken frog… Next thing we will find out he is actually black… And a Jew
dun dun dunnnnn
Another dumb Canadian.
I hope that black Kane gets suspended from the NHL and never play the game ever again. They suspended Theo fleury back then yet they tolerate this coons stupidities constantly
Shut up, stupid.
Racist
Why would they trade Ian Cole? So they can have 2 defensive spots to fill with 3.1 in cap space instead of only 1 spot to fill with 1 in cap space? He’s solid and cheap by NHL standards. Kunitz and Fehr are the guys that are paid too much when you have young guys in Wilson and sundqvist ready to step in with small cap hits.
To sign Lovejoy and open up space for Pouliot
I sure hope that’s not true. That would be a downgrade to an already questionable defensive core.
I wrote a big post about this like a week and a half ago. I guess you didn’t read it. Lovejoy and Cole are roughly on par with one another. The problem is, one plays the left and the other plays the right. If you want to open up a spot for Pouliot, which I think you need to do, this makes sense on some level. Especially in the regular season, when it won’t ultimately make much difference anyway. It won’t prevent them from being a playoff team. You have to see what you have with 51. I don’t think… Read more »
Thats just stupid-With the amount of money these guys make, they can live anywhere go anywhere at anytime.
Depaoli is literally becoming one of the biggest hacks in the entire industry, nothing he reports has any factual basis to it because he has no sources, he writes things that will generate a lot of clicks and that’s about it.
He writes things so his actual fans can follow, there are a few out here that dont realize “reality TV” is mostly scripted and wrestling outcomes are predetermined… thats his target group.
Wait, wrestling outcomes are predetermined ?
Only in Mexico- the rest is real
thx God! almost ruined my day
Malkin for Jagr rumors heating up!!!
Fuckface! Way to go grandpa! Send the clown for nothing and eat his salary!
Fraud.
So just like with the last article, every credible insider in the league reports that their sources say the Pens never actively shopped Fleury but Depaoli’s unsources are reporting they exhausted all options, I can’t decide whose sources to believe.
Eklund appears to be D’s source. He’s firing off Malkin and Fleury trade rumors still. This morning it was Fleury to Columbus. Ryan Wilson doesn’t seem like a bad writer over there, its a shame Eklund ruins the whole page.
Jay, you might want to go outside the Pitt media for your news. Fleury absolutely is available. Pens want more than teams are willing to give up.
Funny because the Pittsburgh media is the only media that reporting he’s being actively shopped, and because I know you have a difficult time with hockey related things, actively shopped means they are trying to trade him, he’s available but only if it’s the right deal and the Pens aren’t trying to find the right deal, if someone calls them they are listening but they aren’t calling anyone and that comes from the likes of Dreger, MacKenzie and LeBrun but I’m sure Depaoli has better sources than those guys.
And just to add a local feel, even Yohe and DK have said the Pens aren’t actively shopping him. Depaoli is literally the only person in the entire league that is reporting they exhausted all options.
Exactly Jay, No one is calling them. No market for a mental midget goalie
I don’t know, again according to some of the insiders who actually have credible sources they did receive calls and had discussion but a deal to their liking wasn’t there. See the franchise rightfully understands that the value of keeping him and maintaining great depth at the position with 1 of the best backups in the league in Murray is better than a late 2nd or 3rd round pick.
To be fair. Maloni might be correct for once. Just backwards on why. They’re not calling because the Penguins aren’t in a position to have to dump him for less than market value. Especially in a market where nobody needs a goaltender. They’re fine as is. They did exactly what they should have. He’s available. But you’re gonna pay.
I don’t know who Maloni is. Please call me fat fingers.
And for the record bc I know some tard will misrepresent my position, a month ago I advocated holding onto fleury until the 2017 trade deadline. Still, the penguins aren’t going to get back what they think.
You don’t know what they think so that’s impossible to predict.
And for the record, 2 months ago you wanted to start Zatkoff over Murray and Fleury.
Tbj, In game two of the Rangers series I did, you’re right. Me and coach Sullivan, two idiots. Still have your fleury PJs Fagboy?
He didn’t want to, he had to. You wanted to. I see two months later you’re still having issues understanding the situation. Not surprising.
How do you know he “had” do? “Sully” call your MAF “bat phone”?
Probably because Jarry dressed as the backup as neither MAF nor Murray were cleared medically.
Yet two days later Murray was ready to go, and sharp. Don’t you think that if Zak bombed game one Murray would have been ready for game two. There was no reason to take him out
That’s right. Two days later he was cleared medically. What part are you struggling with?
The naive notion that team doctors determine a player’s availability.
Right. And you probably know this because “Sully” contacted you on your Murray “bat phone.” It’s pretty common sense. If he was cleared to played, regardless of what “Zak” had done in the first game, he’d have at least dressed as the backup in Game 2, but he didn’t. Because he wasn’t cleared, and “Zak’s” second start had nothing to do with how he performed in Game 1, and everything to do with Murray not being cleared. #SomethingSpecial
Zak was something special in game 1. According to comments attributed to Sullivan, Likely won them the series. Other than that you’re right as always. Umbrance
So good. I’d probably change the subject too. Bat phone! #unbrance #SomethingSpecial
Coach Sullivan seems to be your go to only in situations where you supposedly agree… Funny how that works
You’re stretching to get into the conversation Zero.
Stretching? You mean me using Sullivans own words to support a point in the past was something you argued against yet here you stand making the same statements. No stretch required!
Obviously King’s source on NHL 16.
Wow where is everyone guess the Humanity test has them stumped
