The Penguins on Tuesday revealed that goaltender Matt Murray has been diagnosed with a concussion, spelling more trouble for Murray who has opened the season allowing 11 goals in 2 games.
The short and long-term concern for Murray’s personally is that this is now his 3rd known concussion since April 2016.

The D played bend dont break all night as they seemed to be in the way and got sticks on or tied up their guys on most of the high danger potential shots. Still thats a dangerous game to play. The deadline isn’t tomorrow, so it’d be smart to let Riikola get a really nice sample size in order to gauge his role. Maatta has struggled at times, but he’s been a huge part of two Stanley cups. He’s on a reasonable contract and is still young, so it won’t be hard to find a trade partner.
