The Pittsburgh Steelers pursuit for a kick returner continues. The team has been kicking the tires on Titans KR Chris Carr who has visited the Lions, Vikings, Rams and Patriots. Sources indicate Carr had a scheduled visit with the Steelers on Tuesday but it was cancelled. Carr, 25, has been one of the Steelers top priorities but is seeking an opportunity to be a top 3 cornerback which makes him signing with Pittsburgh unlikely.

The Steelers may turn their attention to kick returner Justin Miller according to a source. Miller appeared in eight games last year with the Oakland Raiders and New York Jets. Miller had 33 kick returns for 816 yards and two touchdowns. Miller recently visited the Detroit Lions and the Tennessee Titans.
For now the Steelers have no planned visits although they remain in touch with free agents. Cornerback Eric Green was getting mentioned as a player the Steelers may look into but at this point there has been minimal discussions.
Other news: The Steelers are nearing a deal with Keyaron Fox. The Steelers have also re-signed WR Marcus Nance.
Bryant McFadden watch: Remains very quiet. McFadden has offers on the table from Pittsburgh and Arizona. The New England Patriots are not in on McFadden at this point. There has been discussions but nothing more than that. The Patriots have their eye on cheaper targets like Detroit’s Leigh Bodden, Washington’s Shawn Springs and Buffalo’s Jabari Greer.
As of last night a source who spoke to Drew Rosenhaus claims The Cards, Steelers, Patriots and Buccaneers were in on McFadden. Maybe there’s a sleeper team out there but it appears the sweepstakes may be down to three teams and right now McFadden has no scheduled visits plannedwith the Bucs either.
