Insider Only NHL: Kunitz will be sidelined until at least mid-December

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Chris Kunitz remains sidelined with what is believed to be a nagging knee injury.
Kunitz has missed 9 straight games and will not be cleared to skate until 7-10 days at the earliest.
There is some thought in the organization that Kunitz could be sidelined until

Christmas. A rumor going around that he had his knee scoped has not been confirmed by the team.
Kunitz has not played since November 12th and was due back by Thanksgiving.
Dan Bylsma talked about Kunitz today for the first time in weeks but would not go into details other than stating that Kunitz is rehabbing.
