Penguins – Panthers Morning Skate Buzz

Off to a 2-0-1 start to the season, the Pittsburgh Penguins host the 1-0 Florida Panthers in their home opener tonight at the Consol Energy Center.
Looking to move to 3-0-1 on the season, the Penguins will be without their best defenseman Brooks Orpik for the 4th straight game and it looks like Evgeni Malkin will likely miss his 2nd straight game.

Malkin was back on the ice but did not skate with any of the Penguins top-4 lines or take any shifts with the first or second power play unit.
Kunitz – Staal – Kennedy
Sullivan – Letestu – Neal
Cooke – Vitale – Dupuis
Asham – Park – Adams
Defensemen
Martin – Michalek
Letang – Engelland
Niskanen – Lovejoy
Marc Andre Fleury will get the start in goal.
*Sidney Crosby and Dustin Jeffrey (knee) both participated in today’s skate and took line rushes on the 5th line with Steve MacIntyre who will be a healthy scratch.
*The Penguins and Orpik are remaining cautious with his injury after Orpik went too hard and aggravated the injury just prior to camp.
