The Pittsburgh Penguins have opened the season in impressive fashion, getting back to back road wins against the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers, defeating the Rangers tonight, 6-3, at Madison Square Garden.
Evgeni Malkin had 3 assists and James Neal (2, 3) added 2 goals as the Penguins dominated play for much of the night.
Tyler Kennedy (2), Pascal Dupuis (1), and Matt Niskanen (1), Kris Letang (1) also scored in the win.
Making his Penguin debut, Tomas Vokoun was impressive, making 31 saves and improving to 7-2-1 in his last 10 starts vs the Rangers.
Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist was pulled in the second period after giving up 4 goals on 18 shots.
