Mark Madden of 105.9 the X is reporting on air that there’s a report out there that Rashard Mendenhall has a broken arm and will be out 6-to-8 weeks.
We are trying to confirm if there’s anything to this. Mendenhall practiced all week.
Updated: 4:30 p.m. – I just phoned Mendenhall’s agent Mike McCartney who said he can’t comment “at this time” and didn’t know anything about it {injury}.
Updated: 5:00 p.m. — Mendenhall is fine, Steelers official David Lockett tells Tim Benz.
Updated 5:20 p.m: — KDKA-TV Sports is reporting just after 5:00 p.m. that Mendenhall is undergoing tests on his arm. Here is the link.
Updated 6:00 p.m. — A league source has confirmed KDKA’s report to us, indicating Mendenhall did undergo precautionary tests. We’re told he underwent a procedure this morning before practice as he’s had some tenderness in his upper right arm. There was nothing serious revealed nor will he miss anytime.
Mendenhall is expected to play Sunday night.
