I agree living out here in LA I see Gibson alot and he is frustrated with this losing Ducks team… He doesn’t say it but he has to stand on his head every night and gets no goal support. He is only 28, he is a Pittsburgh native, and he would be rejuvenated back home.
I see a ton of Kings and Duck games and he has taken a beating. Look had we had Gibson playing for us versus the Rangers last year in the playoffs we would have moved on in 6 or 7 games
I’ve always thought MAF was massively overrated, but I don’t hate this deal on a couple conditions. If they aren’t planning on resigning Jarry, move him at the deadline. There’s absolutely no reason to just let him walk as a FA just to keep him for a couple extra months with a mediocre team. Also, they should eat some of his cap and we should give up a minimal return (3rd or 4th round pick).
