Penguins GM Jim Rutherford has entered this off-season willing to take calls on anyone not named Sidney Crosby. All 30 other General Managers have been aware of this since the middle of May.

It is hard to imagine a scenario where they come out on top with a Geno trade. Skillwise they are pretty much certain to lose. He has seemed somewhat disengaged in a lot of ways this past year and that is quite a concern. Like Letang who has not learned a fucken thing about playing a more conservative, Malkin is prone to selfish reactions when his game is off.
