Latest on Kris Letang
It’s NHL Draft Day and when it comes to what Jim Rutherford is up to on the trade front, Kris Letang continues to be the name rival clubs are bringing up.
As the Penguins have offered Letang around the league and as of early this week were targeting two specific clubs in talks, NHL sources say Penguins GM Jim Rutherford has set the stage here for about a 10 day window where a Letang trade has a chance of happening.
The Penguins aggressively seeking a hockey deal for Letang isn’t just General Manager driven.
Momentum over the last two weeks continues to emerge inside the Penguins organization from others outside of Rutherford that are on-board with trading Letang as the Penguins seeking to change the culture to become a more defensively responsible team and change the room where team officials believe the likes of Malkin and even Letang has made it extremely tough for others to emerge as leaders in the room beyond Sidney Crosby.
Among the juiciest rumors flying around is the Penguins offering Letang to the To read this insider news, subscribe to get “Inside Access”!

Maybe Mario likes a min French content ratio on the roster, he had to be taken in order to move Letang
I read the write up on Kaliyev and knew instantly he wouldn’t be the pick. Maybe under shero, but never under Sullivan. He’s a 1 dimensional goal scorer who doesn’t work hard. I draft the kid all day, but not under this reign of stupidity.
Could they at least got someone who could speak properly?
Not many trades. Spice it up with a Letang trade!
That had to hurt Shero passing up a puck moving defenseman there
Could you imagine the flip on Letang for Kapenen… effectively making it Kessel for Phil lol
Letang, Murray, Gudbranson, and Hornqvist for Drouin, Price and a 1st round pick.
If Letang goes to Montreal, then Sam probably leaves the site.
Either way he wont be here for July 4th as he follows his hero Joey Chestnutt
Letang heading to Montreal
Dont c0cktease me
Just Same drooling.
Get lost fatso
Sam(e) will be at the airport on his knees with his mouth open waiting for him to land.
Anyone drooling over Perry ?
When does Sam suggest the Pens sign Ryan Callahan?
Pens should trade Letang to whomever they believe will be their biggest obstacle next year. Would make the Pens significantly better while destroying any team structure their rival would otherwise have.
This entire article was concocted to F with Sam. Hilarious.
If Toronto wants to resign MM how is trading for Letang going to help them unless the Pens eat some of his salary which would be insane. This trade makes no sense. JT and AM are already eating up around 22 million and MM will want at least 11 million a year. Now add Letang to that mix at 7 million and you have 40 million tied up in 4 players.
They want to get rid of kadri Jake gardner and marleau
Almost half your cap locked into 4 players is a recipe for disaster. Look at the Hawks.
The Kane contract is fine but Toews and Seabrook… yikes!
I will bite… who will you replace him with?
Someone with a glove hand
malkin to la rumors heating up. more info to come, dirtbags
Beerman would be proud.
who would LA have to offer that worth anything?
