Youth is King and so is the cheaper cap hit.
The right move is to trade Murray. If they trade Fleury, the fans and the media are going to eat Murray alive as Fleury is the fan and media favorite. Murray can catch you a much bigger return now. Keeping Fleury makes the goaltending transition to Jarry/Gustavsson MUCH easier. Murray as the Pens goaltender is going to be a disaster over the next 2 years. You heard it here first.

I think it will happen sooner rather than later. A first is too much, but hopefully we can move him to open up some cap space. I would give him a couple extra starts, as rookie goalies typically aren’t used to the workload and I wouldn’t want Murray fading in the playoffs.
