Montreal_ On Thursday night in Montreal it was being widely speculated that the Pittsburgh Penguins have Flyers winger Mike Knuble at the top of the wishlist when free agency begins.
Talks has expanded and indications are Pittsburgh is prepared to make a two year offer worth upwards of $6 million over the entire contract.
This morning, I spoke to a source close to

Penguins forward Billy Guerin and the talk of Pittsburgh offering Knuble a two year deal and not entertaining the idea with Bill Guerin, is not sitting well with Robert Murray the agent for Guerin.
Currently talks with Guerin are in a holding pattern as Pittsburgh is waiting for Murray to make the next move.
Pittsburgh has submitted their offer and right now it is as high as they can go.
Ray Shero would like to sign Guerin before July 1 but Guerin’s camp has indicated they are interested in waiting until after July 1 to see if Pittsburgh has the cap space to meet Guerin’s demands.
Could the Knuble speculation lead to Bill Guerin accepting the Penguins offer and signing before July 1? Going to be a very interesting next couple of days.
Murray remains in Montreal and the two sides had long discussions on Thursday.
