Sykora, Satan to Nashville?

The Nashville Predators have been in talks with Petr Sykora for over a week and they are among four teams in talks with the 32 year old winger. Are the Predators also expressing interest in Miroslav Satan also holds the same agent as Sykora?

The market for Petr Sykora hasn’t been very strong but Sykora has been in talks with the Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, New Jersey Devils and Nashville Predators, a source close to Sykora’s camp has told TIOPS.

The Detroit Red Wings reached out to Sykora’s camp early in free agency but there has been no contract talks with the Red Wings to this point.

Sykora is believed to be highly interested in Nashville and there is some talk that Miroslav Satan could be joining him as the Predators have also expressed an interest in Satan.

Satan, Sykora are represented by the same agent and Satan may have to take a training camp invite from the Predators if they sign Sykora.

Satan has drawn minimal interest on the open market and has the option of joining the KHL.

Penguins General Manager Ray Shero reached out Petr Sykora but Sykora appears to be moving on. It’s believed he doesn’t see Pittsburgh as a good fit and once Max Talbot returns, doesn’t see a top 6 forward spot for him.
